Sources
Heribost, Heribusta, Lord’s dwelling: Harri and bust Forbes, 214
Hearbusta or Tearbusta, Lord’s farm, from Norse. Mac an Tàilleir
Heribost (Skye), Heireabost.
Additional infoThe derivation for the first element was suggested by Gammeltoft 2001, 122. Cox 1994, 46 states the second element represents bústaðr, 'farm', whilst Gammeltoft claims a derivation from bólstaðr, 'farm'. Hearabusta differs from the OS form, Heribusta, and both are separate from Hearabost.
