|Sources||This is by Coire Dubh na Giubhsaich and Druim na Giùthsaich as they appear on maps. OS 6” 1st edn. Gives Druim a’ Ghiubhais (Drimnaguach 1832 Thomson)and other names with the same specific element. The fact the island is planted in fir however means it is possible this island has Ghiuthais whilst the places on the mainland are Ghiùthsaich, ‘place of firs’.
Applied to a small Island planted in fir OS Namebooks OS1/17/34/53
